The White House & The Freemasons

A course exploring the relationship between the Masonic fraternity & the Presidents of the United States

From George Washington laying the U.S. Capitol cornerstone in 1793 to modern presidential encounters with the Craft, this course traces how Freemasonry intersected with American civic life at the highest levels. You’ll follow the builders and brothers who shaped the early federal city and helped shape our nation throughout its history.  You’ll also examine the politics of the Anti-Masonic era, the roll of Freemasonry following the American Civil War,  and how Masonry continued to influence the Presidency into the 20th century.
